Becoming a Just Community: Pitt Celebrates Legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

The University of Pittsburgh will celebrate the legacy and service of Martin Luther King Jr. during “Becoming a Just Community,” a weeklong series of events that will run Jan. 18-25.

A highlight of the week will be a free lecture given by Angela Davis, University of California at Santa Cruz Distinguished Professor Emerita and internationally renowned educator, activist, and author. Sponsored by Pitt’s Black Action Society, the talk will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 24 in Alumni Hall’s Seventh-Floor Auditorium. The lecture is open to the public.
