Hillman Library to Be Open Round-the-Clock
The University of Pittsburgh’s Hillman Library will now be open around-the-clock from 10 a.m. Sunday mornings through 10 p.m. Friday evenings. Saturday hours will be 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The change will begin Monday, Aug. 26, and continue through Friday, Aug. 30. Hours will revert to the previous schedule over Labor Day weekend. The 24-hour schedule will resume Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Another change occurring at the Hillman is the gradual transfer of many book collections to Pitt’s remote storage facility in Point Breeze. The change will make room for more individual seating, group-study rooms and areas for students to work collaboratively. —Sharon S. Blake
