Administrators, Faculty, Trustee Named To Governor-Elect Wolf’s Transition Team
Pennsylvania Governor-elect Tom Wolf has named several Pitt administrators, faculty, and a Board of Trustees member to his transition team. Wolf will be sworn in as Pennsylvania’s 47th governor on Jan. 20 at the State Capitol in Harrisburg.
Wolf recently appointed Mark A. Nordenberg, Pitt chancellor emeritus and chair of the University’s Institute of Politics, to his official Steering Committee. Wolf also named the following Pitt individuals to committees on his Transition Team:
Aging: Everette James, executive director, Health Policy Institute;
Education: Larry E. Davis, dean of the School of Social Work and director and founder of its Center on Race and Social Problems; Rich Milner, the Dr. Helen S. Faison Chair in Urban Education and director of Pitt’s Center for Urban Education;
Higher Education: Jem Spectar, president of Pitt-Johnstown, and William E. Strickland Jr., alumnus, trustee, and president and CEO of the Manchester Bidwell Corporation; and
Health: Karen Hacker, adjunct faculty member in the Graduate School of Public Health and director of the Allegheny County Health Department.
