The American Society of Industrial Security recognized University of Pittsburgh Police Deputy Chief Holly Lamb for her contributions to supporting security and safety in Pitt’s community, including overseeing the deployment of Pitt Police officers at several UPMC hospitals.
James Bradley, clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Pitt’s School of Medicine and co-head team physician for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was named among the 52 best surgeons for excellence in orthopedics by Becker’s Spine Review. The publication compiled the list by asking readers to nominate outstanding orthopedic surgeons.
Pitt School of Law Dean William M. Carter Jr. has been named to the 2015 Power List by Lawyers of Color, a media firm supporting the contributions of attorneys from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. The distinction honors the nation’s most influential attorneys of color, as well as diversity advocates nationwide. Carter was also named to the Power List in 2014.
