Newsmakers: Experience the World
Members of the Pitt Nrityamala Classical Indian Dance Team entertained attendees at the March 28 Experience the World Showcase Auction and Dinner, held in the William Pitt Union to raise funds for the PittAdvantage program. The program, which is open to Pitt students who have completed the University’s Outside the Classroom Curriculum, provides grants of $1,500 per student for expenses associated with experiential-learning opportunities, such as study abroad or unpaid internship opportunities. Pitt’s Nrityamaia team won first place at the 2011 Laasya national dance competition and hosted Laasya in 2012.
