Newsmakers: Honoring America's Troops
The University of Pittsburgh participated in the Nov. 12 Remembrance Day National Roll Call, which honored American troops who have died in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Held in the lower lounge of the William Pitt Union, the event’s opening ceremony was followed by Pitt faculty, staff, and students reading throughout the day the names of servicemen and women who died while serving our nation in those two wars. It was the second year that Pitt has participated in the national event. (Photo by Tom Altany)
