Pitt Volunteers Reach Out, Give Back on Make a Difference Day
Nearly 3,300 student volunteers from the University of Pittsburgh fanned out across the City of Pittsburgh and to a few points beyond for Pitt’s Make a Difference Day on Oct. 26. The group of volunteers comprised the largest number of students to sign up in the six-year history of Pitt Make a Difference Day, a project organized by students with support from Pitt’s Office of Student Affairs. The students volunteered at two on-campus projects as well as 81 off-campus projects, including 48 in the City of Pittsburgh and others as far away as McKeesport, Verona, and Moon Township.
