Scene
A picnicking passerby snapped this photo during Chancellor Patrick Gallagher’s Staff and Faculty Appreciation Picnic on May 20. Hamming it up with Pitt mascot Roc were three researchers in Pitt’s Vascular Medicine Institute: from left, Diane Lenhart, lab manager; Rimi Hazra, research associate; and Danielle E. Crosby, a research technician II. This picture, tweeted by Crosby to @PittTweet #PittPicnic, won the inaugural picnic’s photo contest—prizes are a $25 gift certificate to The Porch in Schenley Plaza and publication of the photo in the Pitt Chronicle. While the photographer remains a mystery, the picnic’s success was no secret. More photos can be found at http://tinyurl.com/PittPicnic
